I totally enjoyed this book on two levels: 1) the whodunit factor kept me intrigued, especially since the author gave such a vivid description of the almost inhuman upbringing and events that would become hurdles few could overcome on the road to sanity. 2) the mysteries within mysteries factor - I simply could not guess what might possibly come next. The author does a fine job of describing the complexities and inside view of a culture so few will ever know. Don't get too cozy reading it because it will surely turn in a direction you didn't see coming. This book has the perfect title and is well written and edited. Too many books these days require flipping back to re-read who did what or which character is that exactly - not this one. The author brings you along comfortably. Back story is dribbled into an evolving story in easy to swallow doses. As a writer, I give good marks for the story AND the style.
